wish跟hope的用法（wish与hope的用法）

（A）Hope 与 Wish的细微差别

Hope：希望，对应的是可能或将要发生的事。后面通常跟的是will, may, can.

Wish：愿望，心愿，对应的是不太可能发生的事。后面通常跟的是were, could, would或虚拟语气。

I hope you will come.

I hope you will be satisfied.

I hope they can agree with us.

I wish I were dead (but I am alive).

I wish I could help you (but I cant).

I wish you would not talk like that.

Do you know who sent the letter? ----I wish I knew. (i.e. I dont know.)

I wish you could see him fighting against the whole bunch of them.

I hope it isnt true.

I wish it were true (but it is not).

当然，在I hope to和I wish to中，二者之后都接动词不定式（原形）。

（B）英式思维：事实与愿望的鲜明差异

（1）在表达愿望（而非事实）的情况下，我们总是使用动词不定式（即原形），即便在通常需要使用过去式或加 -s 的情况下。例如：

He commanded that the witness tell (not told) everything he knew before the court.

Our wish was that he leave (not left) this city at once.

God save the king! (not saves)

Long live the Republic! (not lives)

（2）另一种表达愿望的英语方式是用may:

May God bless you!

May you live to repent this!

（3）抑或用含 if 的感叹句表达：

If I only had more money!

If I could only see her face once more!

If I only knew!
