注释1：圣诞节是全家团聚的日子，但是，也有许多人在这个时候想起自己没有一个完整的家，这节日对他们而言，着实艰难。圣诞节应该是充满爱、团聚和善意的节日，而不是像其他时候一样让人感到孤独和心碎；
注释2：Ryan最喜欢的电影之一是《生活多美好》(Its a wonderful life)，每次看到它，他都会热泪盈眶。所以他想让这首歌和电影有某种联系……可能试图微妙地结合来自电影的一些图像。这句指电影结尾处的Zuzu Bailey曾经说过的:“每当 *** 响起，天使就会拥有翅膀的奖赏。”；
注释3：这句是指George Bailey得意地意识到自己被爱着，而且对爱他的人很重要，因为他在口袋里找到了"祖祖的花瓣"(Zuzus petals)。
