定语从句，以其形式之多变，出现之频繁，规则之细碎而成为出题老师的最爱以及应试学生的噩梦。
所以今天，我们就来清晰理智地讲一下这么磨人的定语从句。
一、什么是定语？
作为句子中的附属成分（点击前往成分篇），定语起限定、修饰的作用，表示限定对象的品质、属性等，并且限定的对象只能是名词/代词。
举个例子：我喜欢科幻小说。（科幻就是用来限定名词小说的定语）
也就是说，定语只跟名词/代词有关，且两者关系紧密不可分割。按照与限定对象的相对位置，定语分为前置定语和后置定语

二、定语从句
作定语的句子，就是定语从句。
它是某个名词/代词的定语； 它是个有完整主谓结构的句子。要讨论定语从句，首先你需要知道三个概念：
先行词：被限定的名词/代词，即被修饰的中心词；
引导词：即关系词，紧跟在先行词后面，分为关系代词和关系副词。
引导词的作用：
▸ 连接主句和从句
▸ 指代先行词
▸ 在从句中做成分
定语从句：引导词+主谓结构，位于先行词之后。

定语从句分为限制性定语从句和非限制性定语从句。
限制性定语从句紧跟先行词，主句与从句不用逗号分开，从句不可省去。
Any man who has a sense of duty wont do such a thing.
I met someone who said he knows you.
非限制性定语从句起补充说明作用，主句与从句之间有逗号分开，如省去意思仍完整。
The house, which we bought last month, is very nice.
The boys, who are playing football, are from Class 1.
（非限定性定语从句中不能使用关系代词 that）
三、关系词
从句=引导词+主谓结构
引导词，也叫关系词。定语从句中，关系词分为关系代词和关系副词
注：非限制性定语从句也可以用as, who,whom等做关系词。
As everyone knows, China is a beautiful country with a long history.
Our guide，who was a French Canadian，was an excellent cook.
先行词：the part/ 引导词：where/ 定语从句：where you leave/where you apologize四、练习

A Girl Who Is Good At Drawing
Mary whose drawings were shown at the exhibition last month is a model student who is often praise for her good work at school. As soon as we got into the exhibition hall our eye was caught by a very large picture which was hung on the wall in front of us. The horse which was drawn in the picture was exactly like a real horse. The man who was riding on it looked like a living man. It was the best picture that I had ever seen, and I should say Mary is the best young painter that I have ever heard of. However, you will be quite mistaken if you think that Mary was born a good painter.
One of her teachers told me that it had taken Mary thousands of hours to learn and practise drawing until she became the best young painter that has ever been heard of in her hometown. But if you say that she has learned to be so good at drawing only by working hard at it, I will certainly agree with you. One of her friends told me, after visiting the exhibition, that once he happened to call at Mary’s, and that to his surprise he found Mary was still working at her drawings and that she told her friend that she would go on working until two o’clock early next morning.
