2005年11月，北爱尔兰足球传奇人物乔治·贝斯特去世，当国家哀悼时，克洛普发行了乔治·贝斯特：一首颂歌，其中包括“你把我举起来”作为一首单曲——肯尼迪在贝斯特的公众葬礼上演唱的一首歌。
2006年初，肯尼迪在5月的欧洲歌曲大赛上以公众投票的方式被选为爱尔兰共和国的代表，他在自己的原创作品《每首歌都是爱的呼喊》中表演，并获得了可信的第十名。
