To those who live far away from their home, this festival is also a family reunion occasion.

The Spring Festival, Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all of us.
春节,寓意着中国新年,是我们中国人最重要的传统节日。
All family members get together on New Years Eve to have a big meal. At the same time, everyone celebrates each other.On the first morning of one year, people stick to the Fu or hang some couplets on the front door. Some houses windows are stuck on red paper cuttings. The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days. So during the fifteen days,we always visit our relatives from door to door. At that time, children were the happiest because they could get many red packets from their parents,grandparents, uncles, aunts and so on. The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival.
在这个节日里,所有的家人都在除夕夜聚在一起吃一顿大餐。同时,每个人都互相庆祝着。在一年的第一个清晨,人们在门上贴上福或挂上对联。一些房子的窗户粘上红色的剪纸上。中国新年会持续十五天。所以在这十五天里,我们总是登门拜访我们的亲戚。那时,孩子们最快乐,因为他们可以从父母、祖父母、叔叔、阿姨还有其他亲戚那里得到很多红包。春节的最后一天是另一个节日。

The Lunar New Year is a great occasion to for Chinese people.It lasts about the first four days of the year,during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school,and shops are closed.

Chinese New Year is a Chinese traditional festival.We also call it the Spring Festival. It is on lunar January 1st.

On New Years Eve, all the people sit around the desk and have a big family dinner.There are some vegetables, some fish,some meat, some fruits and some drinks like juice, coke, Pepsi and some nice wine.Overall, this is a good and delicious dinner.After dinner, we always watch TV New Year programmes.We had a wonderful evening on New Years Eve.
