I have an example that works for me: I had *** oked a pipe for fifty years, knew for decades that it was poisonous, but continued in my addiction. As my experience, I think phone is a tool for me, not heaven or honey.
How to use phone is a question. What I can do with it.
check date, time ,weather, get such as basic informations.
communication, individual messages and calls, social medias.
entertainment, play games , listen to music.
consumption. Order taxi, food, clothes or shopping, and payfor them.
production, take photos, make recorders or music, write.
Etc.
Instead of stopping using phone, I asked myself, what about my life, my career, health, relationship, finance, study. What am I want to do in my life. Then I think phone would be a tool to my destination.

Hello , great question .
So you do realize that you have a habit which is probably already harmful for you .
It could be harmful in many ways -
disrupts your attention
do not let you concentrate on what you should do in the moment
take too much time
or even leading to bad posture and neck pain etc.
This bad habit has slowly grown , taking your head completely off from what is important for you. You are just “killing time” . The problem is this is YOUR time.
The way you could reduce the impact of this bad habit is to have a goal in your life . You need to decide what do you want in your life , and start chasing your dreams . / no matter what your bad habits are this is the remedy /
You can not even imagine , how many bad habits were left behind that way . And there is no matter if it’s your phone or whatever… do not focus on that - it is completely pointless . Now is your phone , tomorrow could be something else . The problem is you do not respect your time .
You need a goal , a dream that you will follow , something that will make you understand that you have one life , starting to respect and appreciate your time .
