而在歌中反复强调出现的一个词是Pain
Pain是痛苦的意思。
这个词在美国历史上在建国初期被一个英国人所用：托马斯 潘恩Thomas Paine。他出生在英国，出身低微。把自己的名字改成了潘恩Pain。这个人亲身经历并且参与了美国独立战争——美国革命，法国大革命。写下了众多的影响整个世界变化的小册子。比如《常识》、《人权论》。
他本人还是美利坚合众国的命名人。
